My Top 5 Resto in Baguio:
Note that this is a long story. If you are lazy to read everything, see above and click the restaurant you wish to view
Our Story:
We spent the Long weekend in Baguio together with some of our friends who lives in the Summer Capital of the Philippines :) And we took this opportunity to explore not only the best tourist spots but also the best places to eat in the City of Pines.
Ketchup Food Community
We went to Ketchup Food Community and decided to eat at Canto - one of the famous diner inside the community. If you want to go here by lunch time, you must go early because the diner is small and many people visit this place so expect a long waiting line. Here are some of the food we had.
Lomo Ribs Half Slab ₱240
The famous dish inside the food community. It has been featured multiple times by the media. And now I get to feature it too :) Its really good and the serving is really big. Worthy for its price, I must say its something I never had in Pampanga.
This meal contains 2pcs flamed grilled pork - lomo rib part, a serving of Cascade Salad with fresh veggies, some peanut brittle, watermelon and alfalfa sprout, it comes with a choice of rice or mashed potato.
Canto Burger ₱185
A 1/4 kilo all beef - grilled classic burger that comes with crispy french fries - that tastes almost like "picnic". The burger really taste good :) but its no different from other burgers - its similar to Eduardo's Super Smashed Burger in our opinion. But still worth trying.
Looking cute on a mason jar with that refreshing blue-color liquid huh, Not good! I thought its good but it taste really bad. Our friends does not like it too. It tastes like organic medicine.
Ow I fell for this dessert :) I really like it! My friends do not like it that much because its too sweet for them, but for me its perfect. With that cherry on top of a toasted vanilla ice cream with some whip cream on the side and chocolate syrup at the bottom :)
Since we did not like the drink in Canto and we're inside a food community where you can order anywhere else, We tried ordering drinks in Rancho Norte - it is known for their tasty fruit shakes.

We were given the menu and we decided to have a Buko Shake and told the waitress to deliver the drink inside Canto. We paid for it right there and then but you also have the option to pay it later. The bill will come to you together with the other bills from the different resto.
Buko Shake ₱80
Really good. The taste is different and its no ordinary - not similar to other buko shakes. You can order this and pay later - the bill will be delivered to wherever you are inside the Ketchup Food Community.
Farmer's Daughter
Next in my list, Farmer's Daughter - There is a story on why it is named Farmer's Daughter - but I forgot what it is, not paying too much attention because I was really hungry. It is located beside the Tam-Awan Village.
It looks like an old house with no electric fan/aircon, just the pure cold & fresh air of baguio - really nice. There's also a waiting line before you can eat in here - so be early.
Kinuday ₱90
Smoked Pork Meat - You can order this with rice or just the dish itself. It tastes fine and it is a healthy dish because of the way it was cooked. Our friends really like it.
Kindot ₱85
Grilled Pork - Can be serve with rice or ala carte. I honestly cant differentiate the two but somehow this is much flavorful than kinuday, i like it better.
Pak Pako ₱70
River Fern Salad - They say it tastes super good. Mew liked it. I dont eat veggies so I dont know :)
Shanghai Kinuday Lumpia ₱100
Spring rolls with smoked pork meat inside - really great!
Pinuneng ₱100
Blood Sausage :|
Paytoy ₱100
An Ibaloi delicacy ice cream made in Taro / Gabi / Gandus. Its like a home made ice cream, its not really frozen and not too cold, its sticky and its not too sweet but it is really good :)
Chocolate Cake ₱140
I ordered a slice of cake. Never thought it would be that big. It taste great and super sweet - we haven't finished it. It is nakaka suya/umay - I googled the english term but haven't found it.
We ordered ala carte for the dishes and ordered rice separately so we can share the food and order many. I think that is a good idea to share dishes with friends, you can taste all the dishes and breakdown the bill. They serve brown rice here - healthy!
Secret Garden
Third in my list, The not so secret garden - as it is now known to many people. Again you have to wait for your turn before you can eat in here. We waited in the balcony and did some chit chats. Its a nice place to chill and the wind is also chilli.
As we sat down they handed us the menu, it took me a while before I decided what to order, I want something that I cannot have in Pampanga. I tried to order Pancake with Nutella hazel nuts and banana but its not available :( Also the food here is a little bit pricey.
Mew and friends liked the Pizza, they say its "Sakto lang" but its satisfying.
I think this is really pricey. But it actually taste super good, I really likes it.
The serving is small
We asked for Carbonara but it is not available so we end up in Bolognese. Also I thought it is pronounce as "bo-log-nis" but they laughed at me, the correct wayof saying it is mom's spaghetti - joke - its "bolo-nis"
50's Dinner
Are you fed up? We're almost done! Here's the 4th in my list. Again waiting time, is it a trend in the restaurant in Baguio? There are two 50's dinner in Baguio but they serve the same food and service, they also look the same. The big one is somewhere in the city where many people wait in line just to eat there. And then there's this one, somewhere hidden.
The theme and concept of the resto is nice. Its oldies/vintage and there's posters of old famous movies and people like the beatles, elvis, etc. They also have music playing the songs that are parents love!
The food here is amazing. And the serving size is a winner. I even saw a club house sandwich bigger than the sliced of cake in Farmer's Daughter. Very sulit! They have fancy names for food which I cannot get how it is related to the meal.
See? I dont know why it is called Gangsta Gangsta. But look the place it pretty full. You got a cup of rice, fried egg, shanghai, pork, beed and chicken for 155pesos! Super Sulit!
No idea why She and not He :) You got a cup of rice, a hotdog, chicken, beef, pork and a fish with some veggies. The food is not that special but it is very decent. And there is a surprise! Find out later!
Free Dessert!
I got a free dessert! yey! You can have a free dessert if you order the "She". They serve this separately, so do not forgot to remind the waitress.
Ili Likha Artists Village
Last stop in my list! Im tired. Dont even have a decent photo for this one. But you should try to visit it, its a cool place somewhere in the Session Road. Aside from many form of arts, you can find many food stalls inside. It is also a Food Community like Ketchup Food Community. You can also order food from different stalls and have it delivered in your table.
The only difference is Ili Likha is more on a budget friendly place, you can have a snack from 50pesos - 100++
Balbacua with Noodles ₱95
The most famous dish in this community. Its a dish somewhere in Mindanao - but it tastes good :)
Super Size Cheese Brrgrr ₱69
I like the name of the stall - Brrgrr :)
Chocolate Toast Ice Cream
Im so in for this dessert, ice cream tastes great and the stick-o too. But the bread is a flop. It ruined the dish, it is expired! It tastes bitter, sour and almost like amag.
Sweet Potato Fries
